Upcoming Groups
Write On! Printing Group 2026
WHAT:
Based on the “Handwriting Without Tears” curriculum, our printing group is led by an occupational therapist and is designed to help children develop the foundational skills they need for confident, legible, and efficient printing.
Sessions focus on strengthening fine motor coordination and teaching efficient and effective letter formation strategies.
Whether your child is just learning to write or needs extra help catching up, this group provides practical strategies to build writing success at school and beyond.
Can’t make a session? No problem! Your child will receive the work for sessions they are unable to attend.
WHEN:
Once per week for 6 weeks.
Each session is 1 hour per week.
2026 dates at the Dundas office are as follows:
March 25 – April 29 (Wednesdays) from 5:30-6:30pm
WHO:
Children aged 5-7 years old.
A 45-minute screener will be completed by an occupational therapist prior to group start date for eligibility.
RATES:
$490 for 6-week group
$130 for a 45-minute screener with an OT

Connecting Through Challenges: Caregiver Support Group
WHAT:
An opportunity for parents of children diagnosed with autism, or suspected neurodivergence with challenging behaviours to develop an understanding of challenging behaviour, develop practical skills, and explore their own emotions and experiences of having a neurodivergent child.
WHEN:
Each session is 1.5 hours per week.
2026 dates at the Dundas office are as follows:
Each Tuesday starting January 20th to March 3rd from 6:30pm-8:00pm.
WHO:
2 caregivers per family.
RATES:
This program is an eligible expense billed to the Ontario Autism Program (OAP).

WHAT:
Our Bright Start Readiness Group is a play-based program for early learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The group is facilitated by experienced behaviour therapy and occupational therapy team members—with regular supervision to ensure high-quality, effective support for every child.
Work on skills such as:
- Pre-academics & fine motor
- Independence
- Routines
- Sharing
- Transitions
- Waiting
WHEN:
Every Thursday and Friday.
WINTER: February 12th to April 17th, 2026.
SPRING: May 14th to June 17th, 2026.
9:00am – 12:00pm.
*Includes one follow-up consultation session.
WHO:
Children aged 3-5 years old.
RATES:
Ontario Autism Program (OAP) eligible.

Insight Night: How would a psychological assessment help your child thrive?
WHAT:
Our skilled psychometrist will discuss how assessments can enhance your child’s learning and well-being.

Caregivers who would like to discuss what psychological assessments look like and how they can enhance their child’s learning and well-being.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Group
WHAT:
This is a skills-based group run by a social worker providing practical skills to:
- Help manage emotions
- Enhance interpersonal skills
- Improve interpersonal relationships
- Children will develop an understanding of DBT skills, such as:
- Mindfulness
- Emotion regulation
- Interpersonal effectiveness
- Distress tolerance
A group setting allows for kids to practice these skills in everyday life.
WHEN:
Once per week for 6 weeks.
2025 dates at the Dundas office are as follows:
September 24, October 1, October 8, October 15, October 22, October 29
6:00pm – 7:15pm (75 minutes).
WHO:
Children aged 7-12 years old.
A 15-minute screener will be completed by a clinician prior to group start date to determine eligibility.
RATES:
$795 for 6-week group.

Hamilton Community ASIST Training
WHAT:
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is a two-day workshop in suicide first aid.
ASIST can help participants to:
- Safely explore their experiences with and attitudes about suicide
- Recognize when someone may have thoughts of suicide
- Increase their understanding about the needs of a person with thoughts of suicide
- Learn how to use suicide first aid to meet those needs, and increase the safety of the person with thoughts of suicide
- Gain confidence and knowledge in how to support the safety of a person with thoughts of suicide
WHEN:
2025 dates at the Dundas office are as follows:
September 8th & 9th from 8:30am – 4:30pm
RATES:
$250 for 2 days
